Parks / Playgrounds

There are several parks and playgrounds in the community with each of the three elementary schools having well maintained and upgraded playground equipment.

The Legion Park, located in the middle of town, is bordered by the Swan River which meanders through the community. It has a playground, picnic areas with BBQ pits, three baseball diamonds (one set up for night play) and a batting cage as well as a skating oval in the winter. The Rotary Pathway for Active Living is a well-used walking path that circles through the entire park. Walkers of all ages can be found strolling or speed walking along the path all year round.

The Taylor School hill is near the lit ball diamond and it provides a popular slope for sliding during the winter months.

For a walk closer to nature, the Rotary Park is a leisurely stroll among trees and other vegetation that follows through the northern part of Town.
