Enjoy the buoyancy the water provides to improve your flexibility, strength and cardiovascular fitness. Get the same benefits as aerobics, without stress on joints. Aqua Size requires no swimming ability and is intended for both men & women, age 16+. As a participant, you can decide on the intensity of the workout. If you find it too challenging, simply go at a slower pace. Movement within the water is beneficial in itself!

Typical schedule:

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings: 8-9am

Do you have sore muscles/ aches/ strains? Are you preparing or recovering from a surgery? 

Age: 18+. This time in the pool is perfect for those who would like to enjoy a quite time in the water without the noise of young children. The Lap Pool Area will be in use for Aqua Size class from 12-1pm. You are welcome to use all of the below areas until 1pm, then you are free to use the lap side until 1:30 if you wish.

  • Our hot tub is non-operational at this time. Our team is working to restore operations as a priority; however, a complete fix is not anticipated in the near future.

Every Wednesday from 6-8pm we offer a discounted $5 public swim! These swims often fill up, so either call or email us to save your spot

Our public swim includes:

  • Water slide
  • Sauna
  • Water teacup
  • Lazy River
  • Swirl pool for toddlers 
  • 25 meter pool (1 lane designated for lap swim, 3 lanes available to the public)
  • Large change rooms with stalls and showers, including a family change area
  • Viewing deck with tables and chairs 

Water toys, balls, basketball hoops, and tubes are available, under supervision and at the discretion of the lifeguards. Please provide your own goggles, or goggles can be purchased at the customer service desk.

We appreciate the generosity of many businesses, organizations and individuals, who have graciously paid for public swims for the community to enjoy in the past!

Lap swim provides designated lanes in our 25 meter pool for individuals to swim continuous lengths at their own pace. It offers a structured, low-impact workout environment suited for fitness, training, and skill development. Swimmers must be swimming laps. The lane ropes will be in and flutter boards are available.

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings: 6-8am

  • Tuesdays: 5-7pm (one lane available, during public swim)
  • Thursdays: 5-7pm  (one lane available, during private lessons)
  • Saturday 12-1:30pm

We offer the Lifesaving Society swimming programs, starting in pre-school and continuing to National Lifeguard Certification.

  • Public lessons run year round with fall, early spring and multiple summer sessions.  
  • Private lessons provide one-on-one instruction, available for all ages, up to three enrollees per 30 minute class.
  • Advanced lessons are offered annually or biannually. These include Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross and National Lifeguard Course.

Parent and Tot Lessons are for parents or guardians to assist babies and toddlers under 3, instruction provided by our Deck Supervisor. This class will be a great way to introduce your child to the water! Classes will be offered throughout the year on Friday afternoons, if you would like more information or to join the wait list, call 204-734-4141 (ext 0- pool, ext 2 - arena). 

Children up to 8 years old are to be with in their guardian's reach at all times, with a ratio of 3 children to 1 adult. Please be aware that this is still intended as a quieter time for families with littles getting comfortable in the water. No waterslide access.

If you are a SVRSS student and interested in becoming a lifeguard, the SVRSS offers a credit for the completion of the National Lifeguard Course. Contact the Swan Valley Regional Secondary School for more information.
