2026 β Swan Valley Credit Union My Community Matters

π©Ί Project: Interactive CPR Training Mannequins
π Location: Swan Valley Credit Union Aquatic Centre β Richardson Recreation & Wellness Centre, Swan River, MB
π Description: Thanks to support from the Community Foundation of Swan Valley, we were able to purchase new interactive adult CPR training mannequins to replace outdated models that had deteriorated over time. The new mannequins provide realistic, hands-on training with real-time feedback on compression depth, rate, and airway positioning, helping participants develop proper life-saving techniques with confidence. This upgrade strengthens our First Aid and CPR certification programs, better preparing staff and community members to respond effectively in emergency situations and enhancing overall safety within our community.2026 β Swan River, Bowsman, & Minitonas Lions Club.

βΏ Project: Aquatic Wheelchair for Aquatic Centre
π Location: Swan River Aquatic Centre, Swan River, MB
π Description: This grant helped us acquire an aquatic wheelchair, allowing swimmers with mobility challenges to safely and independently access the pool. By removing barriers to entry, the equipment supports greater inclusivity and ensures residents of all abilities can participate in swimming, aquatic programs, and community recreation.

π Location: Centennial Arena, 125 1st Avenue South, Swan River, MB
π Description: This grant allowed us to install a brand-new, energy-efficient lighting system at Centennial Arena, enhancing visibility for players and spectators, improving safety during games and practices, and reducing energy costs. By modernizing this key community space, residents of all ages can enjoy skating, hockey, and events in a state-of-the-art environment, making the arena a hub for recreation and community engagement.

π Project: Playground Equipment for Triangle Park
π³ Location: Triangle Park β 6th Ave N & River Park Drive, Swan River, MB
π Description: Thanks to this support, Triangle Park now features updated playground equipment, bringing new life to this neighborhood park. The modern structures provide a safe and welcoming space where children can enjoy active play, build friendships, and spend more time outdoors. This upgrade helps create a vibrant gathering place for families and encourages healthy, active lifestyles within the community.

π Description: This unique installation brings creative, interactive musical flowers to Legion Park, making play and exploration accessible to everyone, including children, seniors, and individuals with mobility or sensory challenges. Visitors of all ages can engage with sound, enjoy art in nature, and participate in a fun, inclusive activity along the accessible path. The project enhances community spaces, encourages intergenerational interaction, and ensures that everyone in Swan River can experience the joy of play.

π Description: This grant allowed us to purchase 3 new sizes of skating aids, enabling people of all ages to skate without fear of fallingβwhether they are learning for the first time or havenβt skated in years. By making skating safer and more accessible, the project encourages physical activity, builds confidence, and fosters inclusive community engagement across generations.
2024 β Bordian Contracting Inc & SV Communities that Care

π Project: Outdoor Volleyball Court Maintenance
π Location: Outdoor Volleyball Court, adjacent to Centennial Arena, 125 1st Avenue South, Swan River, MB
π Description: Bordian Contracting supplied the materials to construct a brand-new outdoor volleyball court, while SV Communities That Care funded the sports equipment. This is the first court of its kind in Swan River, offering a modern, high-quality space for recreational play, community tournaments, and summer leagues. By creating a safe and accessible venue for people of all ages and skill levels, the project encourages physical activity, strengthens social connections, and provides a one-of-a-kind gathering spot that brings the community together.
2021 β Swan Valley Credit Union My Community Matters
π Project: Upgrade the Stage Drapes at the Veteranβs Hall
π Location: Veteranβs Hall, Swan River, MB
π Description: Funding was provided to assist funding and installing new curtains in the Veteranβs Hall, significantly improving the space for community events, meetings, performances, and gatherings. This upgrade enhances the functionality, comfort, and appearance of the venue, allowing it to better host local groups, cultural events, and community celebrations. By improving this shared space, the project helps strengthen community connections and ensures the hall remains a welcoming place for residents to come together.
