Emergency Measures

The Town of Swan River's Emergency Measures Plan was implemented in 2017 and responds in a coordinated way to protect its citizens and property from unforeseen events. The emergency measures team will access and activate various resources as needed to protect the community including the Manitoba Emergency Measures Organization (MEMO) for provincial support, equipment and finances if needed.

From time to time, if the situation is warranted, a "State of Local Emergency" or S.O.L.E. may be put in place in order to access provincial support and give legal support to the Town for implementing the necessary directives to ensure the safety of its citizens and/or property.

If you have questions, contact the Town of Swan River Emergency Coordinator at safety@townsr.ca or 204-734-4586 ext 208
